The fifth day of the Lahore Winter Meeting 2025–26 produced a series of surprises at the Lahore Race Club, where Generosity emerged as the lone favourite to live up to expectations on an otherwise unpredictable afternoon of racing.

The six-race card witnessed a string of shock outcomes as Dawood Prince, One Man Band, Haseeb Thunder, and Zain Prince all upset the odds with commanding wins, leaving punters guessing throughout the day.

In the opening race, Dawood Prince — considered an outsider — stunned the field with a comfortable victory. Good Boy, a fluke pick, finished second, while Augustus, the horse tipped for a place, settled for third.

The second race saw another surprise as Coach House Candy galloped to an impressive maiden win, ahead of Samara, who took second place, and Sher Khan, who finished third after a spirited effort.

Race three brought late drama when fluke pick One Man Band surged in the final furlong to edge out the tipped-for-place Brigadier, while New York City managed a surprise third-place finish.

In the fourth race, the unheralded Haseeb Thunder lived up to his name with a thunderous finish, beating the pre-race favourite Absolutely Not, who had to settle for second. Mera Gondal, a fluke contender, claimed third.

The fifth race added to the day’s unpredictability as the out-of-form Zain Prince rediscovered his touch, leading from start to finish. Monsoon Mischief produced a late run to grab second, while Rashid Prince came in as a surprise third.

The final race finally brought relief for bettors as Generosity, the day’s only successful favourite, justified his billing with a decisive burst of speed over the final furlong to clinch victory. Cinderella’s Dream, running on fluke predictions, took second, with Sehar finishing a surprise third.

The day’s events reflected both the thrilling uncertainty and competitive depth of the winter racing season, with punters and enthusiasts alike witnessing a dramatic blend of form reversals and impressive performances.
