The third day of the Winter Meeting 2025-26 at the Lahore Race Club (LRC) produced a lively evening of racing, with fluke entries and surprise finishers stealing the spotlight across the six-race card.

The opener saw Mehsi Babu, considered no more than a fluke tip, bolt up to score a commanding win. Augustus, the place favourite, duly obliged in second, while Good Boy sprang a surprise by finishing third.

In the second race, Haseeb Thrill delivered the performance of the day, storming through with a late charge to claim top honours. Thunder Prince fought bravely for second place, with Leo Star securing third.

The third contest brought another upset as outsider Sky Warrior toppled the heavily backed Victory Bulbul. Thunder Man added to the surprises by clinching third spot.

There was no room for error in the fourth race as declared favourite Son Of Sultan swept home in style. Princess Noor impressed with a surprise second, while Prince Essa slipped back to third.

In the fifth race, Falco made full use of a railside run to splash home two lengths clear. Thunder Boy shocked with a runner-up finish, while favourite Absolutely Not failed to live up to expectations.

The card concluded with Nawab Prince, backed only as a place hopeful, proving much the best in the final race. Agha Prince ran second, and Mr Asia capped the day’s surprises by taking third.

The meeting once again highlighted the unpredictable nature of racing at the LRC, where fluke tips and unexpected performers continue to unsettle favourites and keep punters guessing.
